At last it all will make sense…or wait will it (EVIL LAUGH). No really, this story has taken us down a twisty path I did not see coming. I love the author for it. This story at last gives us the real Grace and her powers and why she is the chosen one. I can honestly say that the end had me in tears and that I did not know who she would chose until she made the choice. For sure this is an author to watch out for other series for. Great series.

In book 2 the stakes are upped for the young heroine as she finds herself accepting and facing choices that no one should have to make. You can feel her heartbreak at what has become her reality and her struggle on how to best serve her family while still being true to herself. The myths surrounding young Grace and Derry becomes clearer. I love the way the author has their story unfold. So while you see the love triangle it feels more natural. I cannot way to dive into book 3.

Let me say this is the 1st YA book in a while to really grab my interest. This book gives me some of all my favorite things. A love triangle, gods, and of course a good old prophecy that has been lost in the sea of time. There is a slow build in this book that I enjoy that has the characters come more alive this way. I enjoyed the twist towards the end, I was taken totally off character with it! (I LOVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS.) I cannot wait to start book 2. One of the better reads for me. <3

What do you get when you mix snarky attitude with a monster who has a conscience? Why Crane, of course. But Mrs. Rourke was not done there, she just upped it another level with Raven. With an amazing flare for darkness with a dash of light, we step into the twisted story of Poe and his truest love. Ireland and her crew take on this new twist in their story with the same heart and action as before.

This book was impossible to put down and I mean literally, I tried and was back at it within minutes. I could go on and on and say so much but I won’t because simply stated, you have to read it to appreciate it. I will say this, I could not be more pleased with the nods to Mr. Poe’s works subtlety woven into the story, it makes me want to go break out his complete works and read some old favorites.

All I can do now is sit in wonder and wait for the next one!

What do you do when your fresh start turns into a nightmare? Ireland just wanted to leave it all behind and enjoy a simple life. But it looks like the small town she picked is one plagued by the Horseman, that is the Headless Horseman. Ireland finds herself doing things that she never thought she would. Can she beat the evil that besets this town and if so at what cost?

Ok now I can totally fan girl, I mean this is my review after all. Rourke has once again brought to life a world all of her creation. Her main character is a strong female; thank you, I love when the females lead. Then she goes and gives me another thing, which are myths with a whole new twist. We all know the story of the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow. But what if that wasn’t all there was to it. That is just what we get. With her usual flare for quick witted characters and a fast pace storyline you quickly are in the storyline. I literally devoured this book in just over two hours because I could not put it down. I’m ready to reread the book. Ireland came to life from her inner dialogue and the way she handles everything that is going on. You will be biting your nails wondering how this is all going to turnout for so many people. This book is not only a GREAT read, it is a MUST read.
